The Last Week

This time next week Sister Cheurfang will be Chalita Cheurfang and she will be taking a LONG nap for me! :( I can't believe I am sending another companion home. 7/8 of my companions are home now! Unreal. This week.. Bless these people what can I say more?  Wednesday we explored the city, Adelaide city is a lot more fun when you are in jeans and its warm (ish)! after pday was over we went to a members house, to set up a practice lesson that we can teach them and keep our skills up. Since its been a minute since we have taught a full real lesson. They welcomed us back and are so sweet (They remind me of Steve and Tamara Nelson!! haah but maybe not exactly!) Then we went to Sharans for dinner and she forgot... we ate KFC and it was so funny! She was so embarassed, but it was fine, we just love being there with her and her family we always have interesting gospel questions thrown around.  Thursday was district council. Can I say elders ages should be 19 and Sisters ages 18? We had a gr...

This week we jumped right back on the downhill. Everything was going so great, and then we ran into some hiccups. But we were talking yesterday and realized it's Sister Cheurfangs last week in the mission next week. (I Cried when she said that) Then we decided we are going to smash it next week (we have been but an extra smash this upcoming week)! It will be so incredible, many miracles ahead. Last Wednesday I became the Prospect District leader. Not kidding that's what the elders called me.. I guess i'm a bit bossy? ;) but we made HUGE progress in making plans for this ward! Talked ALOT of how we can help them! So many projects and guess what the Elders have all already found 1 Part Member Family each to work with! (We have all the ideas they see all the success, good thing we are all on the same team) Thursday was Zone Conference, very powerful, very spiritual. Very funny. Apparently the Sisters within my stewardship as a Sister Training leader are scared of me because I ...

Miracles

Honestly I didn't want to come to Adelaide, i hate the city, it's cold here, and there are too many people. But God is good and gave me so many incredible people to run into in this big city!  Tuesday we met with the Relief Society President who in essence said that we will get no support at all, good luck. I love her but, man was she wrong after we met with here the miracles started rolling. We decided to visit the members this week. We were left with nothing to work with so we started by visiting members, active, less active, everyone that we had on our list. We were going to start that Tuesday but got a phone call from a recent convert, so we went over to her house. She has had cancer 9 times, is pretty old (she'd kill me for saying that.. she is age wise but not anything else wise), and she is the happiest person in the world. I can't believe her optimism and happiness and its contagious. My cheeks hurt after being with her! But she was needing alot of help so we he...

Allenby Gardens

TRANSFERS. I am going to Allenby Gardens. I am still a Sister Training Leader. My companion is Sister Cheurfang. She's from Taiwan. She goes home this transfer. I am killing another companion. Sister Ami will be my only companion in the mission again in 6 weeks. RIP.  We take a bus out in 2 hours so this one will be kinda short.  This week was completely full of miracles. I don't have time to type them all about. But member missionary work is the only way to go!! The mission is on FIRE right now and Sister Ami and I were a huge part of the numbers behind that, I feel really good about leaving it behind!! Sad to go but I knew I had to.  Also we came into Mildura because of transfers and we got to be apart of their cultural night and i Did my Alice Springs Samoan dance and the real true samoans called me full samoan.. that is the biggest compliment in the world!  So sorry I'll write more next week. I love you all I'll send pictures too.  Also Pday is moved to Wednesday so...

Mission Conference

Image
I am so sorry I forgot my notebook with my weekly email notes in it and honestly I can't remember anything that happened this past week except.... I am getting Emergency Transferred AGAIN. 3rd times the charm right? updates on that next week. but Goodbye Renmark... (yes there were tears) And we had a Mission Conference with Elder Nielsen of the MTC Department, Elder Ardern from the Pacific Area Presidency (I think?)  But it was really good, they talked about our purpose as missionaries, which is the Doctrine of Christ. And then we talked about The Powers of the Atonement of Jesus Christ (which is the Doctrines of Christ), then we talked about the Book Of Mormon (The Doctrines of Christ)... Do you get it? All we talked about was the Doctrine of Christ which is so important. President Marquis has said we could get rid of every missionary rule ever if we understood the Doctrine of Christ. It has been really interesting to realise the incredible Power that we receive not as missionarie...

Another week of vacation (feels like)

This week was full of craziness, but it was awesome! Monday half of our district was transferred, which was funny because Elder Didkovskiy was leaving and we had become good friends, he's a great elder, from Ukraine (that's as close to Russia as I can get on my mission for all yous who said i'd go to Russia) He was walking away and was like, "how long do you have left?" I thought about it and I HAVE 9 MONTHS LEFT. WHAT THE HECK WHAT THE HECK WHAT THE HECK. Luckily he said, "OK good I'll see you then." Made it seem like I still have ages left, but I'm scared I'm going to blink and its going to be the end of the year. But anyways Sister Ami got in that afternoon and I LOVE HER! Cutest Sister ever! She just finished her training, she's hilarious, she's from Samoa (another crazy Samoan I'm so excited). Then we went to visit Emily out in the Mildura Sisters area since we were spending a week out there because Sister Cobbley is training...

Friends and Family This week was probably the hardest on my mission so far, we found out that an elder I was in the MTC with passed away, I found out and was crushed. Luckily as a Sister Training Leader I could call Elder Norman (who was in the MTC with me) and we just sat there in silence (cause you can counsel elders and elders can't counsel sisters) and just cried. My heart is broken! He was such an incredible missionary and elder! Taught me so much working around him!! God knew he needed to be home with him in heaven and his work still isn't done. the work is going forth with so much power on BOTH SIDES OF THE VEIL. This week was a whole lot of not a lot.. When your comp is about ready to go home you spend most time taking tests and helping her prepare to go home. but all is well!  I improved my cooking/baking skills heaps!! used that when we went to visit members, I think they love me!  Then we went to visit this cute less active and her 3 boys are NUTS! imagine as crazy a...
