Boat Races minus the Water...

This week was wild. but here are a few highlights. Monday we were visiting Irene, she said a million times, "You are never here long enough" and man is she right. I hope to stay in Alice Springs forever. So if I ever hear my name not in Alice Springs Sisters on the transfer call I will call President up and put Irene on the phone.. ;) just kidding I know God calls us to the places we are supposed to go to, but I also know God will never want me to leave Alice Springs! Tuesday was so so sad. Sister Starling left.. I bawled. I love her and she really did teach me so many things and she is my second companion that I have killed.. But she had work to do in Adelaide and she is prime marriage age so she needs to go to BYU this fall to find her husband ;) But I was now training Sister sekona, so we went town finding for a little bit and ran into the woman. She is from Annabella, which is in South Australia, which is a long ways away for y'all who don't know. But she was in A...

ET....and go home

ok so thats sister starlings email caption for this week because we got word of an emergency transfer... she is going down to Adelaide 1 week early then on the she goes home.. So... I am now a senior companion and my new companion is Sister Sekona, Sister starling and sister sekona overlap in the airport for about 20 minutes tomorrow afternoon. Its so sad. Sister Starling and I thought we had a whole extra week together. But on Saturday President was here and we had extra interviews and gave us the news... really put an anchor in our otherwise so incredible best day of my mission day. but i cant jump around. back to last week. our pday was the district p day and that was the best. we went to the desert park but that wasn't even the good part we just got to hang out with the elders. there are no other sisters here. And honestly thats the best thing ever, these elders are actually pretty cool and only sometimes very annoying. ;) But it was awesome. I love Alice Springs. We had zone c...

2 months?

Image
Its been 2 months since I've been on my mission?? Technically longer than that cause the MTC but I have been in Australia for 2 months.. This week was a good one. We are emailing tuesday cause of the holidays in the Northern Territory.. yesterday was picnic day. and town was dead. except all the tourists..heaps of them around.. but its funny. i love the holidays here they have heaps of weird ones like beanie day.. ya its a thing.. anyways we met this sweet lady and she is basically Sarah Isch, but from Africa honestly. we walked in and i kind of freaked out because she had just had a baby, they both talk the same and look alike.. weirdest but coolest thing. I have cousin look alikes here in Alice! ;) She is such a sweet lady but we are talking with her and have such a hard time actually teaching her. sister starling and i are studying how to begin teaching so we can teach her better. but her baby is adorable so ill definitely be going around her house when we can ;) We are trying t...

I'm home

Image
My last day in the city was good but kinda sad honestly, started crying saying goodbye to sister Brooks and Lousi, they are incredible unofficial trainers that I had, I learned so much from them and will miss them and Elder Li (the greatest elder ever, he is so funny and would always make fun of me in Mandarin class.. we best be best friends when we get home!) but...... Literally last week when I stepped off the plane I was at home, I actually almost started crying because I saw Elder Norman and man have i missed my MTC family!! They are the greatest people in the world, and i'm so happy i get to serve around elder norman again for a little while at least. Sister Starling had leadership trainings so i hung out while she did that cause there aren't any other sisters here in alice! but after that we jumped right in and started visiting everyone! I am obsessed with these people here! This will be a good transfer (and next cause they never flush Alice) but i guess i can't say n...

lowest low, highest high

YALL this week has been a wild one. its another novel of a email so skip to where i talk about sunday if you aren't gonna read it all... cause i know most of you dont. ;) so last monday we had a lesson after pday ended, it went so well, but the funny thing was that Jarvis (one of the members in the branch) came to the lesson. but afterwards he comes back up to me and said, he knew he knew me somehow cause i looked so familiar. a cute sister that had just gotten home that i was able to go to breakfast with before i left had send our selfie to him and he had it on his snapchat... funniest thing! so the members in the branch knew me and had seen me before i even got here! also that night we had FHE and we played spoons.. literally so fun! elder kuchler cheats like no ones business, but its fine hes a great missionary thats all that matters right?  tuesday i got to spend a lot of time with victoria square because sister b had to do trainings. I LOVE sister brooks and lousi! they are li...

THE LAND DOWN UNDER

ok so first I'm gonna finish off the last few days at the MTC... Sister Skousen's Saturday night class was the most incredible thing, we started off with our weird energy, but then we ended on such a spiritual note it was incredible. I love her and the rest of our MTC teachers, offical and unofficial (teachers, will you send me the teachers that were teaching our new zones email, I lost the paper I wrote their emails down on) But our MTC teachers were honestly the greatest thing that could have ever happened to us! Shout out to Brother Trautman for helping so much with though provoking questions our 1st district meeting was focused on that so I smashed that!  Gonna kinda fast forward to monday, sunday was rough. Bless your soul if you endured a fast Sunday in the MTC. But Monday was good, I was so sad to leave our cute kids behind, but they will smash it in Vegas and Colorado! We said bye to the rest of our Brizzy Missionaries and that was so sad, love you missionaries and talk...

MONDAY MONDAY MONDAY

yall it has been such a good week i don't even know what i did to deserve it, but i'm blessed. ATTENTION. I leave monday morning, i knew a few of y'all were gonna sent packages, but I am out of the MTC at 8:45 am so I probably won't get them. love y'all though. feel free to use amazon australia to send me something! ;) sunday sister randall and I were asked to be STLs. so go us. STLs for a week. haha killing it. Then we watched missions are forever by elder holland and he literally pounded the podium. so unless i die i will be in the land down under until next november.  monday we taught a new TRC investigator named jacqui. shes super old and super cute. i love her and am so happy that we got to teach her she is definetely mormon but ya know the practice is good. also more homework for yall is to study the words of the current prophet. start at the beginning of nelson being an apostle and go to his most current. i have loved it and have a long way to ...
